The tango of the American ballroom and the Modern Tango of the International ballroom are quite similar but have significant differences. Both are derived from the Argentine form, which has a distinctly different character. All three are popular in the U.S.

Hi Miriam P !!!

Tango, as I know, is a very sensual, expressive, sexual, dance.
Tango, is original from ARGENTINA.
Is considered to be one of the most difficult dances, to learn, due to the so many intricate body positions, swing and quick changes of the legs, and extremely close proximity to the dancing partner.
Some called it the "Forbidden Dance". usually this type of dance was only in the most obscure and hidden bars.

At least this is what I read ones a long time ago!!! It is a dance anybody will enjoy!!!
GOD BLESS YOU
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

It is a beautiful, highly sensual highly controlled couples dance. It borrows music from the polkas that were popular during its time of origin.
