I couldn't have said it better myself. The Wii is completely redefining the way video games are played. The PS3 has decent "graphics", but I watch movies if I want "graphics". I play video games for fun.

The PS3 is not just another PS2. For one, it's got Blu-ray, which allows programmers to put in a lot of information, so games should last longer, more detailed, and enemy A.I. will be smarter. The graphics are way better. There's also the Sixaxis.
If you want to compare the PS3 to the PS2, then you can say the same thing about the Wii being Gamecube 1.5. Zelda: Twilight Princess was well into development for the GC before Nintendo decided to switch gear and make it a launch title for the Wii. If it's that easy to transform the GC version to the Wii version, that must mean that the Wii's hardware is similar to the GC's hardware.

not at all, the wii is awesome in its own right, but the ps3 isnt " just a ps2 with a new design and useless stuff " its more then that, and if you wanted to say somethin liek that then the same could be said about the wii

the wii is not better than the ps3, wii is also aimed for the younger people and is pretty fun but its like a gamecube with different controller. ps3 has the new technology for realistic gaming and are gonna have a lot more games coming. i can see myself getting bored with wii right away and its getting some bad reviews

You're comparing apples to oranges for the case of ps3 to ps2.
ps3,xbox 360 and wii are all NEXT GEN consoles.

the wii sucks compared to ps3, wii has no hi-def no graphics compared to 360 and ps3, and the controller sucks

wii's cool because it's so different, i've never actually played it, but I have a feeling that video games years from now will be more like that.
