It's fabulous if you like older movies or Broadway plays. The movie stars John Travolta (Danny) and Olivia Newton John (Sandy) its about the two of them who meet while on summer vacation and the girl, Sandy ends up going to the same school as him. Shes a square and he's a punk. everyone sings and dances and it all turns out happily with a flying car. Theres even a sequel called whatelse but Grease 2. http://imdb.com/title/tt0077631/

It's about a group of high school kids who are in cliques. There are the Pink Ladies which is a fairly tame girl "gang." There are the T-Birds who are the "greaser" boys. They like leather jackets and fast cars. During the summer vacation just before school starts, one of the boys meets a girl from Australia at the beach and they fall for each other. As luck would have it, she ends up at his high school but she is not Pink Lady material, and she discovers he has a reputation to uphold with his fellow T-Birds. Eventually they each try to rekindle the summer's passion by becoming the opposite of what they are. Great music.
Just go to Blockbuster and rent it. Better yet, buy a copy because it's a classic. However, the actual stage version is a bit different with the character of ChaCha not quite so hot as in the movie.

this is grease 2.All right let's get started in the begginig it's just singing then this girl meets a boy and her so called boyfriend don't wan't her to talk to this strange man on a mortacycle and they keep on talking and then at the end they throw this party and the man that that girl likes shows up and he starts to do tricks so really he tries to impres everybody. And then they justt start to dance and thats how how the movie went off. Grease 1 is simple all it's about is that the boy just shows up out of know where so this girl just happened to kneeded some help with her school work so she asked if he he could help her in he accepted it so then they started to like eacch other and her old boyfriend grt jellis so they keep on talking so then at the end they said that they was going to race for the girl and the man that poped out out of nowhere won the girl so at the end the boy was talking to his friends so suddenly that girl come out the school and every body just stop to look at here she had a cirgarette in her mouth with a Black Set on her and and all the boys thought she looked good so she went to that strange man and they danced the rest of the movie. It is about a guy and a girl who fall in love during the summer holidays. When school starts, they find out that they are attending the same one. But the girl is this conservative, simple (and cute) gal...the guy is the popular guy of the school, who has this "resume" of getting as many chicks as he wants. Trying to impress the girl and still keep his status of popular guy turns into a beautiful and intricate romantic movie, that breaks the barrier between two different cultures and two totally different people that, beyond all hope, finally stay together. Its full of singing and dancing, a great movie!

its pretty much the best musical in the world i can recite all the dialouge...it is about a highschool girl who comes to Rydell High from Australia (olivia newton john) and meets a guy over the summer and the fall in love (john travolta) over the summer she says that she has to go back to Australia. she ends up staying in the U.S and goes to "danny's" school (john travolta) Sandy (olivia newton john) finds out that danny is a much different person around his friends and decides that, and i quote, "your a fake and a foney and i wish id never laid eyes on you" so the whole rest of the movie is danny trying to win back sandy and he does a couple of times and then dances with someone else at the highschool dance and then at the end they both try to impress eachother by dressing different and they do and the story ends happily ever after

That movie is fantastic, it's brilliant, it's a movie about young love and the troubles that love brings with it. It's a movie that you will remember all your life like I have.
I turned 64 yesterday and I still watch that movie on video every now and then and I dance along every time - lol.

it's basically about the singing and the dancing in the 50s. They did a lot of it back then.

first of all, you should. it's really good. but it's about two high school kids in the 1950's who fall in love over summer break. when the boy, danny, returns to school, you find he is some what of a mean, cool guy. however he finds out his love, sandy, has come to his school. sandy is somewhat of a good girl. he has to choose- his reputation, or his girl. after many songs and dance interludes, he graduates high school and tries to change for her, but finds out she has done the same and gets her some leather and a cigerette and they live happily ever after. good movie.

Its dumb and senseless...i never found a meaning or moral to that story or movie or musical. w/e. and i dont understand why its famous because john travolta dances and sings like a girl, and i only watched it because olivia newton john was in it n she sang too. the story is basically high school romance...it doesnt even make sense.
