Srsly. Im not a big gamer I just want a few games and a dvd player

PS2 is a good gaming console. I would say since you aren't a big gamer it would be better to spend less money and get the PS2. I bet you could pick up one used somewhere real cheap. Plus there are a lot more games available to buy for much cheaper price.

Honestly, I'd say to get a Wii and buy a seperate DVD player. The Wii was made for people who arn't really gamers, and it's very easy to get into any game with the motion sensor technology. The bad thing about getting a PS2 would be that you wouldn't be able to play newer PS3 games on it, so it would be somewhat pointless. The Wii is $250 and the PS3's are either $400 or $600. I think a PS2 is pretty nice. Or if you dont mind waiting....wait 2 or 3 years and PS3 will probably go down to an affordable price. PS2 has gone WAY down in price since it came out and its still pretty good. Also, if you're looking on ebay and saying they are too expensive thats cuz they are. Regular building type stores (not online ones) have them for about $400 I think.

yeah i think the PS2 will be fine for you if your just a casual gamer there are plenty of good games (i.e. Okami, FF12 ect) so yeah if all you want are a few games and a DVD player then yeah the PS2 will work just fine....

get the PS2 because i can list a bunch of things thats bad about the PS3 1. it dosent come with all the wires 2.its not cheep 3. it dosent work so just get a PS2 cause its better

if your not realy attracted to any one consol just get an Xbox 360 it has games, you can play some of the old xbox games and it has a dvd player.

you should save up till you can get a ps3, its well worth it. or even a psp
the wii looks pretty fun also
