OMG. That entire situation is a nasty mess not even worth salvaging. The man is obviously a very troubled, miserable, selfish control freak who is unwilling to take responsibility in the sorry state of affairs in his marriage. She should leave him and file for divorce. Move out with the children. Stay with relatives until she can find a place and a job if she doesn't have one, and just start over.

Split personality? Complete lack of common sense? Unfortunately, this is more common that you'd think - people spend way more than they think they do, then start taking out loans to cover a shortfall....which just makes the situation worse, as they take out more loans to cover the original ones.
And of course it's easier to blame the other spouse than youself.

He is a controlling person who has gotten into financial problems that he doesn't know how to fix.
I would suggest the wife find a very good lawyer to protect herself from his mess and to try and find a way to financially take care of her children.
She should do this before the sh*t hits the fan....and from what you say that's going to happen very soon.

The man during one of his Spells needs to only take a look at the faces of his children to see the look of horror-disgust and fear as his spell unravels. How emotional dead this man must be to want to continue treating his family this way. I feel so much sorrow for his family and sorrow that he is so emotionally and spiritually spent.

He is ill mannered mean and selfish. Thank god he is planning to divorce you. You will be liberated from shabby living. You should be happy. See a good layer when he files his papers and make sure you get sufficient alimony and child support. Dont file the papers first.

she needs to get her name off as much paperwork as possible, credit cards and such if possible. may need to contact a lawyer
for advice also on legalities. sounds like he is heading towards divorce, and if the eife makes more she will get stuck with the bills. i would get credit card receipts or bill statements and see where the money is going.

His wife wants to stay with him for the kids, eventually if she is strong, she will leave, but she may need alot of support from family and friends.

Getting into debt is easy, getting out is hard. It is easy to put the blame on someone else because it is hard to look at yourself and see how bad you messed up. Maybe counseling would work.
