Yes !!! Isn't that scary!! The reasoning is after 5 to 10 years scar tissue can possibly reconnect the tubules. Thus forming a path, making it possible for the microscopic sperm to find the egg. Another possibility is if the tubes were never cut to begin with, however this is uncommon for two reasons. # 1 this would mean section removed wasn't sent to pathology for identification, which is rare. # 2 a female has more than one set of fallopian tubes.

I once took care of a woman who was 6 months pregnant, when she discovered it. This was because she was 40 her kids were grown and this was a MAJOR surprize!!!!
Imagine how she felt?!?!?!

Good luck, for what ever reason you are asking. Whether that be deciding on a birth control or wondering if it failed!!!

If the embryo lodged somewhere in the tube yes. Or if the tube was not severed and tied off, I imagine it could make pregnancy possible. Also if you concieved befor the tubes were tied.

'Special' baby grew outside womb

Lisa Pittman with her miracle baby Millie-An
A baby girl has survived and been delivered by emergency Caesarean after growing in her mother's abdomen.
Doctors at Lister Hospital in Stevenage only realised Millie-An Pittman was in the wrong place when her mother Lisa was admitted for a caesarian operation.

The 27-year-old, from Letchworth in Hertfordshire, had been told she would find it hard to have children.

Baby Millie-An, whose name is a play on the words "one in a million", was delivered weighing 8lb 7oz.

Despite repeated scans during pregnancy, Millie-An's position beneath her mother's stomach was never noticed.

In so many ways Millie-An is a very special baby indeed and it's great to hear that she and Lisa are doing so well

Douglas Salveson, gynaecologist

Ms Pittman, who lost 12 pints of blood and needed emergency surgery after the birth, including a bowel operation, said it was only after surgery that the truth became clear.

"I only fully realised what had happened when I came round in intensive care. I had a lot to take in because I had a hysterectomy as well," she said.

"I didn't meet my daughter until three days after she was born because I was very poorly, but when I saw her I was just overwhelmed and I went into mummy mode."

"I'm just happy to be alive and I'm in love with my daughter. I don't feel as though I've lost anything, I've just gained.

"She is my one in a million and that's why I called her Mille-An."

Consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist Douglas Salvesen said Lisa's case was "incredibly rare".

"The odds against one going undetected, reaching full term and for the baby to be delivered and the mother to survive are literally huge," he said.

"In so many ways Millie-An is a very special baby indeed and it's great to hear that she and Lisa are doing so well."

Yes, you can. This question is best answered by a qualified medical person. At the very least, An RN. But since you asked everyone, I can tell you that my own sister in law got pregnant that very way. The Lord moves in strange and mysterious ways.

It's VERY rare, but yes, it can happen. My mom had hers cut, tied and the ends burnt. She has a 0% chance of getting pregnant. Sometimes the tubes can come untied, which can result in pregnancy, but with them cut, tied and the ends burnt, there's no chance of them coming untied and growing back together.

Its very slim but i actually know of someone who has actually gotten pregnant while their tubes were tied. So it is possible i guess but the possibility is probably less than 1

I knew a woman who had two kids after getting her tubes tied... So yes, it's definitely a possiblility - but don't count on it. I'm sure it's quite rare and hers was pretty much a "fluke".

yes it is very slim but it has happened. Usually the tubes ain't tied but are burnt. sometimes they grow back and are fully functional again.
