"Stretchy" I ment: you make a little pouch
and when you put things into it, it stretches.
When you take things out- it comes back
to a little size. Thanks everybody for answers! Dear Ann does Cascade yarn works like that? Thanks a lot.

Cascade fixation is "stretchy", its elastic and cotton. Has a lot of great colors too. I've made many socks from this yarn. Love it

I haven't knit in years...but i just did a search in eBay on "stretch yarn" and it gave me a few results so you might want to check there. I also Googled it. You should also check with a local yarn shop if you have one...or a JoAnn fabric store...i believe they carry yarns. A local yarn shop probably would have better knowledge of what designer yarns are coming and going each season as the owner must keep on top of these..and manufacturers are constantly changing their lines. These shop owners might also be able to help you with a knitting stitch which would help you get the proper stretchy feel you desire...once you purchase your product from them (if they're a good shop...and that's what they should be doing!).

hope that helped.

I know stretchy yarn exists, one of the ladies in my knitting group was using some the other night and I thought it was the funniest thing... it can be a pain when your knitting tension is naturally tight though!
