Then I would turn everything that is in no way useful to me into gold and make a profit out of it, that way nothing would be really useless, because I could always find a use for it, whether I sell it, or get jewelry made out of it. I would always have great gifts to give everyone, and everyone would be impressed because they will think that I spent a lot of money on them, since the gift is gold. Also I would put on gloves while showering, using the bathroom, touching my loved ones (keep it clean, kids), and eating, so I don't end up like King Midas. Sure, the gloves would turn to gold, but then I would take them off and make a profit, and then get myself new gloves, and so on...
That would be an awesome life, because I'm smarter than King Midas!

omigosh it would be awful! what if the one you loved bent over to kiss you, you turned them to gold, and couldn't save them. you'd never be able to text or anything, and opening the window or the door would be awful! (gold is awfully heavy lol) you could never hug anyone, even when saying goodbye, and you'd make other people's and your life a near-enough misery. And what about eating and drinking? I personally don't think having this gift would be a very good idea ... even greedy people would hate it after a while, unless their hearts were cold and they didn't care about pets, familys or anything. but then again, they'd die of thirst and/or starvation after a while.
oh god, what a depressing topic when you think about it! lol
hope this is creative enough for you :)

That would be awful! Everyone you know and love would be turned to solid gold, your prized possesions would no longer work as they would be covered in gold. You would not be able to eat, sleep, drink or wash without the fear of turning yourself to gold. You would no longer be able to do anything without turning items and objects into gold. In the end you would end up turning yourself into gold (because you would have to scratch yourself sooner or later). In other words having that as a life would be awful and would be very hard to live!

first I would experiment with this new ability
then I would be very careful what i touch.
I would touch thinks for people so that they could buy somethings that they need.
I would them touch thing that would help charities, and research projects, enabling them to continue to research project like
cancer
aids
diabetes
I am sure that with this gift we could have a state where college could be free.
for my self,
I would not mind a working Mustang GT , in gold of course.
then I would give this ability to someone else. this is a very hard and stressful ability to have so it should be shared

In the end I would be miserable because I would want to hug my kids and I couldn't. And, if by accident I did touch them, they would be turned to gold which means they would be dead. If I killed my own kids I would want to die. No thank you.

I would touch a mountain that I owned. My question is, when we say touch, do we mean just intentionally, and does the entire body count?
