If your looking straight ahead imagine a clock, straight ahead is the 12. Now, look in the direction that the 10 would be.

It's like if you were in a middle of a clock, what ever position someone is at is the time. For example. Girl at 12:00 means girl straight ahead, 6:00 behind, 3:00 to the right, 9:00 to the left.

12 o' Clock would be right in front of you or the person you are pointing whatever it is out to. 3 o' clock is to the right, 6 o' clock directly behind and 9 o' clock to the left. All the times in between are just slightly in that direction, like 10 o' clock would be slightly left and slightly in front.

you have to imagine yourself as the centre of the clock infront of you is 12 and behind you is 6....if someone is at 4 o'clock then they will be on your right slightly behind you....like where the 4 should be.....hope that makes sense...
