It's probably dislocated. See a doctor.

You may have fractured it and it may need to be set. I jammed my finger a couple of years ago. It hurt like hell. I didn't think I broke it or anything but the pain wouldn't go away and it was bent a bit funny so I went to the doc. Turns out it was fractured. It was a small fracture but enough of one I needed to wear a brace on my finger for a few weeks. I'd go to the doc if I were you.

Go to the Doctor. See if they say that it is broken. It may be too late to fix but this way you will see what is wrong with it. If it works fine and you can stand it then leave it a lone. I would get it checked out though before.

Either you broke your finger and it healed the wrong way, or you have dislocated it.
Either way...I would see you doctor about it just to check everything is ok as it is possible you have cut-off blood vessels or nerves or something which could cause you a lot of problems in the future!

I think you broke your finger. My son broke his playing basketball and all they did was put a splint like thing on it. That's what you should have had, I'll bet. You should get it checked, but not sure they could do anything now
good luck

i'm not sure, but i was at baseball camp in july, and caught a tennis ball weird and my finger was bleeding and swollen. i went for x-rays and they said it was just bruised. half a year later, it's still as swollen but doesn't hurt and works fine. as long as it moves normally i guess it's ok

wrap it up with a wooden stick underneath to straighten it. If it is still crooked in a week go to the doctor.

it healed wrong that's why when you sprain your finger you usually put in in a splint. Your muscles tighten In order to fix it you have to have surgery and they have to cut the muscle and resuture the wound then put it in a splint in order for it to heal properly
