I would say halo 2 cause it has new guns (in Halo 2 you can dual wield guns) and cool maps.But if your thinking about getting one and not the other i wouldnt do that cause then you wouldnt know the whole story.
Next year on November 1st, Halo 3 and Halo Wars are coming out so try to play Halo and Halo 2 soon so you know everything thats going on!

They are both great games. If you are looking for multiplayer, especially over Xbox live, Halo 2 is the way to go. I have an Xbox 360 and some great games but I still play Halo 2 at least once a day.
I guess I would have to vote for Halo 2 :)

Halo 2 becuse you have long campains,awesom multiplayer,new vehicles, and custom profiles.You can even play as covie.
