I want to put a candy machine in a store and want to find out how to do that. Serious Answers Only.

yes, actually, you do need to have something

i'm a bookkeeper, in one of my jobs, and there is a candy machine and one of those claw machines - it is a local thing, not a state

unfortunately, i do not know how to go about getting such a license. the reason you need one is because generally, you're not supposed to fill them yourselves, it's supposed to be done by a vendor.

that way the product comes directly from the source (which is cheaper in the long run) and also so that the supply needs are met

perhaps you can look in a local phone book for vendors of candy machines and small amusements - if you don't buy from them, at the very least they can give you the information you need, from a source that is supposed to know what they're talking about

You need to purchase a "vendors license" from either the city or the state.
