direct deposit for my check, or does it have to come from a company?

Yes they can arrange it. It is easiest done if you both are at the same bank. Then it's just a smiple account to account transfer. If you use different banks, from what I understand then you have to have them set it up as if they're paying a bill (automatic bill pay) and have it sent to your bank with your account number on it. Have them talk to their banker for more details. I know a couple nannies who are paid this way, so it is possible.

Your employer can arrange it but you have to give them all of your info to do so....You can also have direct withdrawal so that you control it and can change the amounts as needed. That is the recc'd course of action. Deposit check into your account and have it electronically withdrawn at dates and amounts that you specify and control.

They should be able to arrange for it. If they say they can't, go to the bank and get the proper forms for them. All they will have to do then is fill it out and mail it in. Good Luck.
