Windows Media Player should do it to start with. Almost any media player or good digital photography program should do this, since avi files are like movie files (I have a digital camera with this function and can use any number of programs to view these clips). ACDSee and Adobe photoshop are are good software programs. Other programs like Win amp should also be able to handle this for you too.

I think Quicktime, Windows Media Player, and Winamp all support .avi. They are FREE and you might already have one or two on your Computer.
