my husband and i are getting a divorce. i thought i was supposed to stay on the checking acct until the divorce was final. i was told that once before...has it changed?

He is obligated to adequately support his dependents, but no military regulation says he has to have a joint checking account with his spouse.

This has nothing to do with the military. It's between you and him, civilly. Talk to your attorney.

Mary,please rewrite your question with more information. Usually joint accounts are frozen unti the court decides how you two will meet your financial responsibilities.You're still married,go to a military attorney and get help. Legal services are free. God luck dear and Merry Christ'mass!!

if he opened the account and then added you later ,he can remove you
