the 2 boys im talkin about are skaters with the long hair, etc. i love them to death, but my dad hates them with a passion... because they are "punks who need to cut their hair and get their skatboards out of their @$$es and do something with their lives" i love them both 2 death, but how do i convince my dad to let me hang out with them on my block... we dont smoke crack or anything, but mi dad thinks we do. how do i get him to loosen up and trust me more, especially with MY FRIENDS???

Tell your Dad to spy on you when you're with them. That's right, give him permission! Tell him that if he doesn't like the way they act with regards to how they show you respect then you will gladly drop them no matter how much you "love them 2 death". Plus you must not warn them that it is going on! All he has to do is give you ONE viable reason! Tell him appearance doesn't count! That's bigotry! Challenge him on this by saying "are you too scared I'll prove you wrong"? Note: if he gives you proof positive that they have shown disrespect to you, YOU WILL HAVE TO DROP THEM! Without regret! Just move on! The challenge has been put in your lap, think YOU are up to it?

This is all about trust.
First off, thank your dad for being protective. He's alot older then you, and i'm sure he knows people a little better.
Tell him you understand how he feels about them. Ask him to trust your judgment and trust himself with the values that he has given you.
Compromise alot. Any conditions, circumstances or rules he might have with hanging out with these guys should be followed. Offer some like calling in every hour or being home early.
Once he sees you can be responsible, i'm sure he'll be a little more willing to loosen up. It wont be easy and it wont be fast, but in the long run, you'll show him you're responsible and you're a good judge of character.

there isnt really anything u can say or do to convince him anymore, he is convinced that they are no good or wat ever. so just listen , or tell him that they are ur friends who are there for u always and ur not trading them for him or no one else.
p.s. be careful the way u approach him , he may take it the wrong way.
