Remove Symantec if you can. My experience when I test antispyware or antivirus program to see if they perform as climed, or have hidden embedded trojans in them Nortons is a nightmare when you try and remove.

I found after add/remove I was left with over 350 fragments of Nortons/Symantec that causes conflict with your system.

If you need further advise and asst., pls email me an I will give you a link for software plus instructions on how to rid yourself of all the fragments left behind.

Below is a link for free antivirus program by AOL. You don't have to be a member of AOL to get the free software for life. Active Virus Shield, is powered by Kaspersky Labs., out of Russia. Rated #1, in the world for virus detection. Updates on the hour and has excellent background scanner.

If you have two anti viruses installed on your computer, its probably why neither or one isn't working. You should have only one installed.
