I dont really know how to see which is which a boy or girl.my friend had 2 hamsters one named speed and and one named jerry. (i dont know who give birth) but ether speed or jerry just given birth to babies and i dont know who is a boy or girl so can u halp me calssify who is boy or girl.

Look at their back side (by the end of the hamster). Usually if it's a male, the hamster would be longer and his butt would look bigger. And if it's a female, her butt would look firm and round, and she would also be shorter than the male. Or if you're just looking for the mom, look which hamster nurses the babies by staying on top of them all the time. And if all those things who don't work, take your hamsters to a Pet Store like Petco or PetSmart, they'll figure it out for you. Oh btw, once you find the dad, I suggest you take him out because he might eat the babies, but DO NOT take the mom out because the babies won't be able to live without their mom.

Well... if you carry them and look closely in between their back legs, from the side of their belly, you will notice a huge sack in one of them. It generally is as large as their head, so it is not hard to miss.
So, whoever has the sack... is the male.... ehem.
If you have had your hamster for less that 3 weeks, she might have already been pregnant. Though usually pet stores keep the boys separate from the girls.
And yes, keep the males away from the females. Unless you want to have 15 hamsters by Valentine's day.

Turn them over and take a peek. If it's a male, you'll definitely know that it's a male. I've had a hamster before, and it's really obvious. You should have no doubt about it. If you don't seen anything on either hamster, perhaps they are both females, and one got pregnant while still at a pet store?

Keep an eye on them and see who nurses the babies. If you don't catch that, then look at their back end and you will figure it out. Since they are old enough to breed they are sexually mature and you will be able to tell.

I've read that male hampsters, when not with female hamsters, will masterbate. So, you could separate them. Or, bring them to a pet shop and ask.

Oh you'll have no problem distinguishing the sexually mature male from a female. Their testicles are very obvious.
