You good do an experiment that involves gambling, as gambling behaviour is sort of classic in terms of operant conditioning. The pay-off doesn't have to be money if the subjects are told that the object is to gain as many poker chips or m&m's or whatever. You could change the contingencies - vary the payoffs according to time intervals, number of responses and make them variable or fixed, then see which reinforcement schedule results in the biggest pay-off for the "casino" and which gets the gamblers to gamble the longest, etc. Put your mind to it, use a little creativity and you could probably come up with an experiment that is fun and interesting.
