We really enjoy the classics. White Christmas, Holiday Inn, The Bells of St. Mary, The Bishops Wife ( or the updated version with Whitney Houston The Preacher's Wife), Miracle on 34th Street, The March of the Wooden Soldiers, Christmas in Connecticut, A Christmas Carol. Many of what we watch others have already mentioned. There is also Santa Claus, the Movie, with Dudley Moore, Prancer, The Muppets Christmas, Emmit Otter and his Jug Band Christmas, Babes in Toyland, I;ll be home for Christmas, Mrs. Santa Claus ( Angela Landsbury), To Grandmother's House we Go.

There are more out there too!

National Lampoon's Christmas vacation with Chevy Chase, hillarious.

A Christmas Story , the one with the little boy that wants a b-b gun

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer is a must no matter what age, classic

Miracle on 34th street, the original black and white, also classic

There are some newer ones like Jingle all the Way, the Santa Claus that are family movies, but I really like watching the classics year after year.

Now, when my family gets together to watch christmas movies, we go for the older movies like "Which Christmas" with Bing Crosby, "A Christmas Story" which is generally shown all christmas day on TNT, "It's A Wonderful Life" a black and white classic, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" cartoon or Jim Carey version (both are good), "Miracle on 34th Street) with Natalie Wood or the newer one with that girl from "Matilda", and also the various claymation movies (ex: Rouldolf, Frosty, Christmas in July with Frosty and Rudolf, Santa Clause is Coming to town) which are shown often on the Family Channel around the christmas season.

I think the classics provide a sense of tradition, like "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Miracle on 34th St.". but then again, my sister-in-law and I don't feel like it's Christmas until we get to watch "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" it is hilarious! Just depends on what you're going for I guess. Newer ones are the movie or cartoon- "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", "The Santa Clause", The Santa Clause 2", etc.

A Christmas Story is great because it is a classic. Christmas with the Kranks is okay. How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey is very funny for kids and adults may like it too.

Lol, well, for starters, I certainly would NOT re commend the movie "bad Santa". Possibly Scrooge. The flick always seems to have some type of moral message for the new, up and coming generations. You could also try Bambi versuks Godzilla, but...I must warn you, it's a relatively short movie!
