I have actually wondered that myself. I see people answer, and don't know why they even bother answering. Or people like this 'man' who keeps posting spam on every question he answers.... I thought the whole point of questions and answers was to get a legit answer, not someone trying to be an a** to someone else or be better than someone else... isn't there some one in real life they can be a**es to???? They got to do it online??

Well, first of all, it is anonymous, so people think they can be jerks without repercussion. But, it's also, in my opinion, a result of the general lack of social "graces" in society today. How many kids do you know who address their elders by Ma'am, Sir, Mr. or Mrs or Ms? Not many I'll bet. How many people do you think realize that it's rude to have a cell phone conversation in the line at the grocery store or in a restaurant? (and I don't mean a "I'm at so & so, I'll call you back in a little while"). How many kids are taught that THEY are right and if their school teacher says otherwise (or their parent) that they can SUE them? Yes, it would be much nicer if people would use a little bit of manners and protocol. I guess it's about the only place you can NOT be politically correct and not get everybody breathing down your neck. I just try to ignore those folks, they aren't helpful.

Its the whole anonymity thing on here. This is a great platform for people who are gut-less in real life, to really just let it all out. We just ignore them.

I dont come here that often but...if we get an answer which is NOT what we want or expect, it can be interprited as rudeness.

makes them feel bigger I guess, to help compensate for something lacking in real life, I believe in a social or emotional level somewhere.
