Question

Should Florida be in the Championship game with Ohio State? If not, Who?

Florida deserves their shot at the national title.

The fact that "Michigan had their shot and blew it" doesn't hold water with me. Just because Michigan happened to play Ohio State in the last game of the season, and Ohio State is going to the National Title game doesn't mean that the rules change. If Michigan was the second best team in the nation, they deserve to play in the national title game. It should not be a subjective matter (In other words, it should be based on peoples' opinions of what they want to see, etc., but merely on their opinions of who is the second most deserving team to play EVEN IF they just happened to play that team in their last game). People have got to stop putting so much human emotion into determining the college football champion if they ever want it to be even semi-legitimate.

That being said, Florida DOES deserve the game over Michigan based on strength of schedule. Michigan is a good team, maybe even better than Florida. I wont argue that point either way. What I will say, however, is that Florida played a tougher schedule. They both finished with one loss. Michigan's loss was to a higher ranked opponant, true, but I feel as though Florida schedule was difficult enough to push them above Michigan for the #2 spot.

That's debatable, but my opinion. What I do stand firm by, however, is that Michigan shouldn't be left out BASED SOLEY on the fact that they have already played Ohio State. That should NOT be a determining factor.
