My best friend just invited me to a christmas party that starts in 30 mins. Everyone there will be from 20-25ish years old. I'm not sure if I should wear an elegant below the knee, high neck, empire waist dress or a shorter(mid thigh length)black halter dress with rouching through the midsection and a three layered(ruffleish)bottom. What do you think?

the first one is too formal. Go for the "little black dress" for those occasions.

oh the second one, a little more skin in winter is sooo cool because everyone is all covered up in warm clothes so tough it girly and go with the shorter one. have fun sweetie

Your first choice adds more mystery. Why show all our cards to strangers the first time out. You sound like a classy lady...stick with those instincts.

The second one seems more fun, the first one seems like something you would wear to a funeral
