I have ASUS DRW 1608P3S and it works great! It writes everything with high speed. DVD with 16X and CD with 40X also it writes dual layer dvds.

Get one from novatech.
You can get a DVD DL burner for Â£20-Â£30 and It'll let you do anything. For reviews etc go to dvdrhelp.com and you can find the best one for you.

I have had good luck with Sony products. No issues and I have a 2 and a 5 year old burners.
