Do women like being in the passengers seat? It seems like that is just the way things are. Men in the drivers seat with the woman in the passenger's....am I right here? Isn't this the way it is supposed to be?

well, if you were in a real relationship you would know that things between partners are usually split up. He may do a little more of one thing while she does a little more of something else. Couples tend to balance each other out. Unlike you who is obviously still a simple primate! grow up and stop asking such stupid questions!

Hi Sandstorm,
I know many males that like to "BE IN CHARGE" at all times. My wife is nearly always the one to drive at our house. I have diabetes and as a Brittle Diabetic it is a major medical nightmare. I have to test my sugar every hour or so when I am driving and I relly do not want to EVER hurt anyone! I understand your feeling and I believe that you are almost always right. It is difficult for some of the men to allow their wives/girlfriends to take charge of the driving. I have one of the greatest women in the world! She is awesome. I imagine that your husband feels the same way. Why don't you talk to him about this and let him know how you feel. Have a great holiday with your family!

I let my husband drive for the first few years we were married until he ran us into a semi truck and we almost got killed. After that I did all the driving for the next 20 years. He was always to busy looking in the fields to see who was farming what land and never watched the road.

I don't mind being the passenger, but my husband has a very bad case of road rage. So I don't like being a passenger with him that much.

The reason my husband does the driving is because I have a terrible sense of direction and we would be lost all the time.

It has nothing to do with him being the man.

You have more problems then who's "supposed" to do the driving.

Nope. I'm usually in the drivers seat. My husband scares me when he drives.

I drive on average 40 to 50 K a year for my job. When we go someplace I prefer to have my wife drive as I am sick of driving. I don't think it should be based on gender, but rather on mutual agreement. By the way, she prefers to drive when we travel as a family and that is OK with me.

Hell no. My husband has too much road rage. He is a good driver, but his constant outbursts get on my nerves. I like driving because I can ignore most idiots.

I dont think its meant to be any certin way but yes, my husband drives most of the times we are out together. I make him drive at night since i have night blindness but I'll drive alot of the time too. It doesnt really matter to us, we split it up.
