My hamster is doing everything to escape. It has a glass cage which is the most secure kind but its almost tall enough to jump up to the top. We put stuff on top of the cage but it might bite through it and the wires. HELPPPPPPP!!!!!!

Unfortunately, that's just what hamsters do. I can't say I've ever had a hamster that did NOT escape. I won't ever get another be cause of that reason. Too frustrating. As cute as they are, nope.

^ I definitely agree, ofcourse hamsters try and chew through bars (I know you have a glass cage) but they will always try to escape would you want to be locked in there??? No...I have a hamster too and I feel so bad for her because she's always trying to get out, what I do is I let her run around once in a while in my room or the hallway, I have a cat and they play together.
I have a cage where you can add many peices on so it becomes like a little hamster cage/mansion if you will. It's great look into it, it's not that expensive and it's fun for the hamster, it's kind of a pain in the as.s to clean but if you love your hamster I'd suggest you invest in it!
Good luck sweetie! Hamsters are so cute!

Try to make the hamster more comfortable. Does it need water, food, comfortable sleeping quarters, cooler or warmer temps, maybe even a clock for company. There are many things that may upset a hamster. You have to find out what is missing or making a difference. Give it time and you will get good results. Have faith. A new home is always difficult, even for humans.

ideally he needs a bigger cage. he wants out cuz he's bored. people think 10 gal cages are fine but they aren't. as suggested earlier a hamster ball is needed. let him run in it every night for hours. mine run from the time they get up usually around 8pm til i go to bed. i put her back every hour for a water break & she chews when she's ready to run again. chewing is their way of saying "im bored!" if u can get the cages with tubes so u can connect 2 that works best. 1 cage is just too small. they will chew when they want out & stop after they get enough runtime. also before u go to bed, hide his food in different spots in the cage rather than in 1 bowl. he'll enjoy the hunt after his run.

you need to get you a hamster cage. it is so cool how you can fix and do all kinds of things with all the tubes and make all of the runs and overs and under withall the things you can get to go with them. and get a hamster ball and let him go all over the place he will get more exercise that way. my nephew had a glass cage and hickory was always out once he got the hamster cage and all he could get with his allowance hickory is so content. he is constantly adding on to his house for him.

Use an exercise ball that allows your hamster some "roaming around" time on the floor every day.
