The idea of Jesus' birthday was added onto the winter holiday; it didn't start that way. None of the "Christmas" traditions have anything to do with the birth of Christ: Christmas tree, presents, stockings, candy canes, music, red and green colors, caroling, dinners, visiting family, etc. All this is related to the Winter Solstice celebrations. Google "Christmas Traditions" or "Christmas Origins" for more detailed info.

The 3 Wise men traveled far and gave gifts to Jesus on the night of his birth. That was the beginning of giving, then as a gift to us,God gave his only begotten Son for us. We are suppose to give gifts to others and teach about Jesus Christ and what he has done for us.

Because Jesus was the son of man, which meant he was
the son of mankind, thus everyone should follow and be like Jesus.
The epitome of human existence, there fore we celebrate his approximate birthday.(All fall within correspondence regarding different beliefs.)So we celebrate what may simply be sacrifices .We all are suppost to feel or are making some sacrifice in our life one way or another. So "like"Jesus we
or Christians that is or otherwise And by being "human"sacrificial
beings in some way ,Mostly though doing without so another can just have something we may take for granted might be a
sacrifice..Who knows.But that's why we "no not get gifts"but
give them also.Because we deserve also to be celabrated
and are giving and deserving.

Because Jesus was a gift from God so that all may have salvation. The bible says "God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whosoever believes in him would have everlasting life."

Because the meaning of Christmas has been perverted into getting ourselves into debt buying expensive gifts for everyone.

Because Christ-mass was never his birthday. There is no commandment in the Bible to celebrate his birthday.
Thus, it is a MAN-MADE holiday! So, if it is a man-made holiday, who then should get the gifts???
MAN, of course. Baloney in, baloney out! So that's why Christ can't have the presents!!! This is hypocrisy and in affront when you think about it.
No one pays attention to this, of course. They just want the DAMN gifts for themselves.

because it is a bit hard to give a gift to someone that is long gone from this world for 3000 years give or take a few centuries.
