I am 14 in 8th grade and everyone I know admits to drinking,smoking,getting high and having sex! My problem is that I know it is gross wrong and some of it could get you into troble or kill u and I don't want to do it, give into it. But there is a thing called peer pressure;I want to be cool but not do anything bad. I need help! How do I still seem cool with people without having to tell them that I don't do any of that stuff? kinda desperate

Half of what they're saying isn't true. Middle school kids tend to make up stuff about themselves or other people to get other kids to gossip about them. Gossip usually starts with exaggerations:
Being around an adult who smokes - "I smoked last night!"
Saw someone kissing someone else at the movies - " I heard they had sex..."
etc. etc. It's really dumb. Don't try to be cool. It's really not worth it. The true, cool people out there don't do stuff like smoking and sex because they know it's wrong and have the same judgements like yourself. Just be yourself. A while from now you'll know that doing that is just a waste. And that you're much better than that to do something so horrible to your body.
Hang around with friendly, smart people (even if they aren't "cool"). Be smart and don't worry about stuff like this. There's already enough going on in the world. Don't sweat it ♥ :)

Not all 8th graders are doing this. Try to find some new friends. Hanging out with the cool ones may not be that cool. Be strong when it comes to peer pressure do not give in. Do the right thing. How would you like to get pregnant and the father of the child end up dead from a car crash because he was high. Things you do now will affect the rest of your life.

I highly doubt everyone in 8th grade has got drunk, smoked, got high, and especially had sex in grade 8. (Well I actually did get drunk once last in grade 8). But thats it. 8th graders are usually full of crap. However it WILL come up in high school at one point or another, (usually at a party) and if you really don't want to do it, just say you've done it and didn't like it, so you don't look like a nerd or goody two shoes.

Relax. I admire your ability to refuse things you don't believe are in your best interest..even if your friends are ignorant enough to do them.
If they all jumped off a bridge because someone told them they could fly, would you do it too? Of course not...and they'd be dead.
So you don't do those things?? So friggin' what?? What that proves to me is that YOU are incredibly intelligent and wise beyond your years.
Don't give in to people who don't really care about you or your future. You are the only one who can do the right thing for yourself.

Sometimes the coolest thing is not giving in. If your friends are pressuring you to do things your not comfortable with and that are dangerous to you, then maybe they aren't really you friends. Doing things that are bad for your body and dangerous is not cool, just say no!

Im glad that you know better than your so-called friends. First of all, they are not cool. Secretly, they admire people like you - because you are the stonger one, you have self control and you are able to resist temptation. They wont admit it but they envy people like you. So you are the cool one. Choose your friends wisely.

bravo, bravo, bravo!! For not giving into peer pressure yet! First of all, congradulate yourself on that one....Secondly, CHANGE ASSOCIATES AND FRIENDS...there are a lot of people out there your age that do not smoke, drink, get high, or have sex!! In my eyes, you ARE cool.

8th graders are mostly full of , been there done that. don't wry about it too and if it ever comes up just say uve done it a few times, but dont do it much. itz an easy way out lol

You need new friends- "everyone" you hang out with is a loser. You can't seem cool with a bunch of losers, so just make new friends.
