I want to either be a civil or environmental engineering, what are the best colleges for thse fields, perferably on the east coast, my mom is already having a heart attack over the fact that I don't want to go to school in my home town so i'll just stay on the east coast, but OUTSIDE of PA.

Ohio Northern in Ada Ohio is one of the best colleges on the east coast. You should check it out. It's a private college with a beautiful campas, not too big, not too small, very easy to walk to every class.

Massachusetts Insititute of Technology (MIT) is the best in the nation
Any engineering school of an Ivy League college
Outside of northeast: Cal Tech; Georgia Tech, etc.

A degree in engineering from any college is gold.
