Well everybody is different and have a lot of purposes to live, you might have a family that you love and not want to hurt them in any way, or might have a girlfriend or boyfriend that you love and that can be a purpose to make them happy no matter what. Find yours and take a look at the good things in your life.

It was really hard for 3-4 years, and many years, off and on before that. Finally, I felt like I had to try everything I could or just give it up. Walk 20 minutes, see how beautiful the world is, only after I got on every vitamin humans were supposed to be on- ALOT of Omega 3, Flax Seed, Fish Oil, 1000 IU, Vit C, Selenium, but only after I saw a shrink and got medicated for severe depression but only after I tried to off myself. So don't do it, I'm happy now. The world's exceptional. I love to walk, collect plants, press them and make art. It's better than black.

Um... life. To live. Living is an end in and of itself.
They say that there are intrinsic and extrinsic functionss for doing things. For example, education. The intrinsic function to learn is for the learning itself; you are learning because you want to learn. The extrinsic function to learn is so you can pass your classes and get a degree so you can get a job. You are learning because it is the means for getting something else you want.
I think many people, especially those who are depressed (or susceptible to depression), think there needs to be an extrinsic function for living: you live so you can support your family, or you live because there are people who need you, or you live in order to pursue an interest, or you live in order to promote an ideal. It's actually hard for me to think of REASONS for living. However, there are many people who don't stop and think that maybe living is primarily an INTRINSIC function- you live for the sake of living.

I would like to improve the quality of my entire life...
my relationships with others so that I can have outer peace
my finances so that I won't have to worry about money
my Self so that I will have inner peace
Then I would like to teach others (or try to help them do the same).
