Bowel movements of a newborn is unpredictable. 3 days without a bowel movement is of some concern. But, don't panic just yet. Here are 3 signs to watch out for:

1. Is the infant vomiting, especially after feedings?
2. Is the abdomen distended?
3. Place your hand on the infants abdomen and press down gently. Is the abdomen rigid? Does the infant cry when pressing gently down on the abdomen?

If "yes" to any of the 3 then see your pediatrician immediately.

A little trick that I tried, suggested to me by my mom, mother-in-law and sister in laws, was to fill a bottle with some boiled water (cool of course) and then add some dark Karo corn syrup to it (about 1 tablespoon to 4 ounces) and that should loosen up your little ones bowels. But, you should also call the baby's doctor right away and at least talk with a nurse and see what she suggests and if this is truly a problem that the doctor needs to look at.

While breastfeeding, my babies would go a week without bowel movements. My doctor told me it was normal. I suppose it would make a difference on how much formula vs. breastmilk. Here's what I found:
WHAT INFANT STOOLS LOOK LIKE…
When baby is breast fed
Consistency: Soft or runny.
Color: Yellow mustard to orange with little white flecks that look like seeds.
Frequency: Can vary from every feed to once per week.

My son had the same thing on and off during the first month. Massage his/her tummy and give her a little bit of water, like 1/2 oz. It may be the combo of breast milk and formula and you may need to find some easy to digest stuff. I called the nurse when my son was having problems and she told me to use a rectal thermometer to stimulate the area...like you're taking a temperature. Also, she said that the absence of a bowel movement isn't constipation. Constipation is when his poopie is hard and pebble-like. Is it normal? Depends on your kid. I'm sorry this is so gross! Welcome to motherhood!

baby will be okay mom please don't worry
try a half a teaspoon in the next bottle and warm it up so that the syrup spreads evenly and give it to baby in moderation's and by the time it's time for the next ba if nothing still then take a little Vaseline and rub baby's anus for a minute
that should do the trick but if not repeat with next ba and things should start moving,
if not call the doc

good luck and try not to worry
happy hoildays

Could be the Enfamil thats binding her up, call the pedatriction and see if they think you should give her some water.

Imagine what would happen if you don't pass your bowels in 3 days? A babies immune system is growing each day and needs to pass at least twice a day. You need to call a pediatrician so they can give he/she something to go. Good Luck

3 days is too long. I had the same problem, and my baby used to scream with stomach pains. is urs feeling ok? if yes, then, maybe, don't worry. but 3 days is still too much. help her to pass stool by massaging her tummy and pushing her knees to her stomach - all very gently. but I had to use enema - just little water inside helps.

I would double check to make sure i was measuring the formula correctly, and rub the tummy in small circles.I would call the doctor and let them know. Maybe they will tell you not to worry. Hope it all works out.
