ok..so my husband an i dont have a ton of money this year for christmas due to unforseen bills. so we decided to make baskets for family members this year.. in the baskets we put a fleece blanket, a sauce gift set, a jar with stuff in it to make their own chili, a tree ornament, an emergency cell phone charger, a mug, and a candle with a few variations depending on the person! also the woven basket can be used as a laundry basket when they take everything out.would you like this as a gift..or does it suck..be honest..thanks
merry christmas to all

i think it is very thoughtful and practical....beats a pair of jocks or socks......and because you have put it together it would mean more to the recipient.....Merry xmas

I think most people would appriciate that over the crap retailers usually try to push for christmas. Face it, most people don't want a toe nail clipping set and a knock off swiss army knife and most people don't want to pay $15 for something that horrible.

Your gift sounds nice. I'd add some candy maybe.

What you might want to do if you can though, if you've spent over $30 per gift basket, is return some of this stuff if you can and replace it with treats which are generally cheaper. Trader Joe's has a ton of gourmet style candy, a lot of it for $2.99

I think due to the financial situation you have told us about BEFORE with this same question,I would answer it almost the same, but due to you have ALREADY gotten these things,I would rethink my spending habits for the next year and NOT go overboard with gifts I can NOT afford to give. I pray your children are NOT doing without for you to give these things to others. Also to further answer your question, yes it is a VERY nice overspent gift that am sure anyone would love to get,but I AM BEING HONEST and I think you over did it completely, but Merry Christmas anyway to you and yours.

I love that gift!!! It comes from the heart. Gifts do NOT have to be expensive. What you've described shows that you thought enough of the person to get/make them something!! I love the gift because it's practical, simple, and full of love. That's my honest opinion.

Happy Holidays.

A labor of love. Much better than all that superficial crap from Wally-World. Any time. Merry Christmas to you too.
