No body can claim credit for absolute knowledge. Some may know about many things; many would know about some thing; and none who knows everything. Besides, the greatness of Socrates does lie in the fact that he knew everything. But, we may presume that he knew about everything. He knew about the general laws governing the nature of mankind, for he was credited with the contemplative power and his nature such as to know the law of human nature.

When a student of his asked him "Teacher, you who know everything, would you please answer this question?" Socrates interrupted his student and said: "Young men, the only thing I know for sure is that I know nothing."

He did not know anything that happened after he died, not to talk of other things. How could a man who is mortal can know everyting. It is next to impossibility.
