Every 2 weeks, 1/4- 1/3 of the tank (this means sand and rocks WILL displace water... 1/3- 1/4 of the glass part, if you understand what I mean...?)

Oh, and I have a 12 gallon saltwater tank I used to change it once a week, but things started dying (not dying, but looking bad--- corals) and then I hear to do it every two weeks, I've been doing it every 2 weeks and everything is perfect, good luck!

You should do atleast 15-20% water changes every 2 weeks!

recommendations say once a week, 25% I've found that 25% once a month was enough for me. As long as you have a good cleanup crew, i.e. crabs, shrimp, starfish and so on.

I took a turkery baster and 'blew off' all the rocks too when I did my water changes. It really helps.
