Unfortunately, yes. Death has occurred on more than one occasion, most recently June 29, 2006. 12-year old Michael Russell suffered a congenital heart defect after riding the Rock 'n Roller Coaster at Disney-MGM Studios.

On June 13, 2005, 4-year-old Daudi Bamuwamye died after riding Mission: SPACE at Epcot. The boy died as a result of a pre-existing, previously undiagnosed heart condition called idiopathic myocardial hypertrophy. The boy's family filed a lawsuit against Disney, saying Disney never should have allowed a 4-year-old child on the ride, and didn't offer an adequate medical response after he collapsed.

On April 12, 2006. Hiltrud Blümel, a 49-year-old woman from Schmitten, Germany, fell ill after riding Mission: SPACE and died at Celebration Hospital in nearby Celebration. It was later found out she died from a bleeding brain caused by high blood pressure, not due to the ride.

In February 2004, 38-year-old Disney Cast Member Javier Cruz died when he was run over accidentally by the Beauty and the Beast parade float in a backstage area of the Magic Kingdom. Cruz was dressed as Pluto at the time.

6-year-old Rame Masarwa fainted after riding Space Mountain on August 1, 2006, and was taken to Florida Hospital Celebration where he later died. The medical examiner's report showed that Masarwa, who was terminally ill and suffered from cancer of the lungs, spine, and abdomen, died of natural causes due to a metastatic pulmonary blastoma tumor.

In August 2005, 12-year-old Jerra Kirby felt ill while using the wave pool at the Typhoon Lagoon water park. Lifeguards talked with Jerra after noticing her sitting on the side of the pool, and she said she felt fine. Jerra passed out shortly thereafter. CPR was performed, and she was transported to the local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The autopsy showed that she died due to arrhythmia caused by an early-stage viral heart infection.

77-year-old Gloria Land of Minnesota lost consciousness and died after riding Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom in February 2005. A medical examiner's report said Land was in poor health from diabetes and she previously had several ministrokes. The report concluded that her death "was not unexpected."

On May 16, 1995, four-year-old Linda Elaine Baker passed out during a ride on the Body Wars attraction in the Wonders of Life pavilion. The ride was stopped immediately, and paramedics were called to the scene. The girl was pronounced dead at the hospital. Some of Linda's relatives said that Linda was known to have had a heart condition, but the autopsy was inconclusive as to whether the ride aggravated it.

People most definitely die inside of the Disney parks. However, Disney would love to maintain their fantasy image, that nothing bad could happen while you're there. Given the fact that the Disney company is very involved with the media, much of what happens there actually escapes the news altogether, and what does leak out tends to be less sensationalized than many other stories.

My husband works for Disney, and he has so many stories of things he's witnessed himself and things that veteran cast members have seen happen. Don't believe that bad things don't happen at Disney!

Yes, but if you read the stories that someone else posted just about all of them was NOT WDW's fault but the persons own stupidity. They have warning signs everywhere starting from before you even enter the park on the trams all the way until you put your butt in the seat. But yet people are stupid and want to ride anyway.

When I worked at Disney I've seen plenty of incidents where no one passed away but they have gotten seriously injured, just because they wanted to ignore us and not listen to anything us cast members had to say.

disney was forced to enter the 21st century and yes quite a few people have died there. now the reverse holds true. if grandma has a heart attack on a park bench nobody cares where she died. if someone dies on a ride it makes news. here is a list on wikipedia. note most of them have been in the last couple of years. disney has been operating under "profit maximization" mode which puts profits over a few people's lives. disney currently employess lots of illegals and isn't exactly the utopia its namesake envisioned.

yes, people have died at disney, but if someone should suffer an accident/heart attack at the park, they will still be transported to the hospital.they cannot be pronounced dead by a couple of characters in costume, they have to be pronounced dead by a physician. that's why they arent prononced dead at the park

It is safer at other parks thought for the guest. For example at seaworld they have first aid staff constally monitoring areas of the park and staff memebers can get medical help to an area immedately.
