I don't know your mom.
Maybe you should ask someone who does.

Well, take a look around her house and see what she has a lot of. Maybe those are hints to what she likes. Like candles? Get her a few nice candles from the yankee candle co. or white barn/ bath and body works.
the soap and lotion sets at bath and body works are good gifts too and they have sets for any price range. everyone needs soap! and the scents are yummy and i'm sure any mom would appreciate them.
Does she drink tea or coffee? Go to a local coffee house and buy her some beans/leaves and a nice mug.
gift cards are a little less personal but maybe she has a favorite restaurant and you could pick her up a gift card and take her out a night.
hope those helped!

As a mom, what I would like best would be time with you. A gift card with a promise of you treating her to a movie and dinner or some other day together. The most valuable gift my kids have ever given me is their time and their love.

I know this sounds really dumb, but get her colorful scentful candles. I remember my cousin bought a bunch of them for her mom for christmas and her mom really liked them. For the fact, that her mom liked putting candles around the house and stuff, and they're very decorative you know. Cheap too, but that's not the case since your mom is priceless.

Jewelry almost always works, but if that is out of your price range. Maybe a trip to a day spa? Or a gift certificate to a fancy restaurant. But you will do best if you can figure out that one thing that she has wanted for awhile but refused to spoil herself with and get it.

I took my aunt (age 89) out to get her nails done for the first time just today! She loved it!! I would like to take her out again every 3rd week from now on. It was inexpensive and her hands look wonderful!!! she loved it!
Get her a gift certificate and go with her yourself.. You can both get your nails done and you can spend time together.

I got my mam a foot massager thing as she has poor circulation and her feet go numb quite a lot.
Think - Does your mam complain about anything?
Maybe a hyrotherapy or aromatherapy kit?
or pamber her with a nail art kit or make up or perfume!
Its all down to her personality!
