Ativan is a medication commonly prescribed to people with anxiety. The problem is these people do not understand that the medication is only one method of coping with their problem.
It is not necessary to take the medication when you do not feel anxious. You feel drowsy and dizzy because that's what the medication does to your system.
You wouldn't drink cough syrup if you didn't have a cough....and the same is true for many other medications.
When you feel an anxiety attack approaching, take the medication. If you're not feeling anxious, don't take it.
You can also try taking it with meals or snacks and plenty of water.
If you're still not comfortable and have more questions, it is perfectly fine to see your regular doctor or even consult your local pharmacist.
My question to you is....does you work know that you take this medication frequently while on the job? I don't know what your job is, but that's not something most employers allow due to the side effects of the drug.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

If you fear that the dizziness may interfere with your life you should definitely talk to your doctor about it. There are other medications they can try which may prove more successful for you. You need to find the medication that works best with your body.

How much ativan? What dose, how many pills at a time? Please see your prescribing doctor about this. You may be taking too much. If you take too much it can be dangerous, you could stop breathing or have other problems.

Please do, that could be something really serious or something very minor, but you never know until you see your doctor.
