The von Schliefen Plan was the plan for invading France in case of war between Germany and France. There were various versions between 1900 and 1914, when it was finally carried out at the start of World War I. The plan called for a complete encirclement and capture of Paris by a strong advance in the East, including the invasion of Belgium. In particular, von Schliefen himself said, "Let the last man on the right brush the English Channel with his sleeve."

The Schlieffen plan-was a plan drawn up by Field Marshal Alfred, Graf Von Schlieffen in 1905. in simple terms his plan was, in the event of a war fought with France and Russia on two fronts, the Germans should first attack and defeat France in the west in about six weeks and then move east to face the Russian's. The Germans estimated that Russia's huge and disorderly army would take about six weeks to mobilize and reach the borders of Germany because of they're poor railways, etc.
Kaiser Wilhelm 2 described this as "breakfast in Paris, lunch in Moscow" or something like that.

Schlieffen Plan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Schlieffen Plan was the German General Staff's overall strategic plan for victory on the Western Front against France, and was executed to near victory in the first month of World War I; however, a French counterattack on the outskirts of Paris, the Battle of the Marne, ended the German offensive and guaranteed years of trench warfare. The Plan is the subject of debate among historians and military scholars ever since.
