I just lost my baby on Sunday the 10th and had a D and C on wednesday. I don't feel as emotionally drowned as I was and now I feel guilty that I am not feeling sorry for myself.
My husband and I have talked and he and I both are fine with the fact that we aren't having a baby. We cried for a day, and now we are fine. We are already making plans to start trying for our family again. Is something wrong with me, should I be crying more often.
Don't get me wrong, I feel sad, I wanted that baby more than anyone could know, but I cannot seem to be upset about it. Is it possible to get on with life this quickly? Or are my hormones just dwindling away?
I miss the concept of being a mother, and having a baby, but I am so focused on my husband and work that I am not greiving like I thought I would. Should I greive more? I have sat and thought about it, trying to grasp my feelings about it, I seem fine there too
I don't know whats wrong with me.
Please Help!!!!!

First, let me say how sorry I am for your loss. I lost a baby in April. The day of my D & C, I was fine; it was a Monday. For the rest of the week, I was fine. No emotion. Friday afternoon, my dear friend emailed me news of her pregnancy. We shared the same due date. I lost it. I think if it were physically possible to cry your heart out, I would have. I was 7 weeks along with an ectopic when I had to D & C. Since that Friday, I have cried a lot. My baby was due 4 days ago; December 13 was a tough day. I found out today, the 16th, that I am 4 1/2 weeks pregnant again, finally! and my 2 year-year-old son will get to be a big brother after all.

You're going to feel how you feel. Not grieving by crying more doesn't mean you aren't grieving or that it won't hit you later. Just go with it. You can only move forward and try again. If it hits you later, go with it. If you don't ever dissolve into tears, go with it. If anyone criticizes how you cope and you want to tell them where to go and how to get there, go with it.

Best wishes for lots of baby dust soon.

There is nothing really wrong with you, but I really couldn't tell you why you're so emotionless because I was the same way when I had my miscarriage. I was sad but it seemed I should have been sadder, and that only made me feel guilty. You're probably in shock and not to be insensitive but just be thankful you weren't further along, that would have been a lot harder to cope with.

I think that it is a personal thing. My neighbor had a miscarriage at 3 mo. and I think she was fine. You could be in shock, but nothing is wrong with you. Some people just give up, and don't be that way, and if you are unable to have children, adopt. I was adopted, and you could make some little kid happy to have a good loving, decent home.

Nothing's wrong with you......maybe you're in shock or maybe you've just accepted the fact that your beloved baby is gone and made a subconscious decision to move on.....sorry for your loss but best of luck for your future and family:)

don't be so hard on yourself, what you are feeling is what you are feeling, you can't make yourself feel sorry for yourself or grieve more or whatever. it doesn't mean that you are a 'bad mother' or whatever. perhaps it is just a natural coping mechanism that has kicked in, that you somehow knew this baby was not meant to be. in a way you are lucky that you have coped so well with it. just go with the flow and don't beat yourself up about it. it is great that you and your husband are united in your feelings. good luck

Please allow yourself to move on. Relax. You are grieving, just not in the way that you thought you would. I wish you the best of luck and I am sorry for your loss.

It's not your fault that you miscarried and it's good that you're not letting it get to you. However maybe you haven't truly accepted that and that is why you are seemingly okay. You could be in denial.
Good luck
