LOTS of crying, drawing their legs up, not wanting to eat. Be sure baby gets burped every couple ounces, it's air in the tummy. It goes away on its own, but you can help by rubbing your babys back, putting them in a baby swing (the motion can relax them), or rocking them. Good luck! (By the way, colic usually doesn't happen after 3 months so if your baby is older check with your pediatrician)

My daughter had colic for 5 1/2 months. It was hell. She would cry non stop from about 6 pm until 1 am every night. The only time she wasn't crying was when she was nursing. So she'd nurse for an hour at a time sometimes. It was soothing to her. It was also the only time I got to sit and relax with her at night. I also used the Baby Bjorn nightly. It was easier for me to rock and gently bounce her when she was in there because my hands were free and I could get something else done while she was in the carrier. The only thing that helped a bit was a lot of rocking and swaying. Also, I went on a non-milk diet. That included whey and all forms of milk. The doctor thought she could have a milk allergy. When she went to formula, it was Alimentum and Nutramigen (non-allergenic formulas). These are extremely expensive, though. I did use the fennel tea a couple of times. It was diluted and cooled to room temperature or cooler. That helped a bit but not much. It really just takes a lot of patience to get through colic. Doctors really do not have any definitive answer as to what causes it. Just be sure you have someone to relieve you so you can take a break, as it is very stressful. I was back to work full time when my daughter was 10 weeks old, so I was very stressed.

Colic is when the baby cry for an excessive amount of time...I would recommend reading the happiest baby on the block. I read it before I had my son and it was very helpful. The book basically talks about how in the first three months babies need to be swaddled it helps them get used to being out of the uterus they have been used to such a confided area of 9 months when they get out they don't really know what to do. So anyways you swaddle, sway, shhhhh, and give them a pacifier you are suppose to do this all at the same time and it actually works. I bought on of those infant slings they kind of look like a baby hammock and that was amazing to...as soon as my son went into that thing he would pass out...the only down side was you had to walk around for a little while.

My first son had colic, thank God my other two didn't. The signs are uncontrollable crying, usually around the evening time, everyday. I used to give my baby Mylecon or something like that, for gas because that's what I was told to do. I also tried taking him on car trips, that usually worked as opposed to the gas medicine. I would just walk him around, turn on the vacuum, turn on a fan, all kinds of tricks, but none really worked. You probably need someone to help you for when you start to get frustrated, to take a break. Good Luck Mom!!

lots and lots of crying. mostly at night...that's why you never get any sleep as a new parent, lol. I used to rock my daughter and put some soft music on, get a bottle with warm water and a little bit of sugar and it would take a little bit but she would eventually fall asleep. Just don't get upset with them...it's the only thing they know. Good luck!! :)

lots of crying. call the doctor. If baby is breast fed, mom mayneed to change something in her diet. If formula fed, you may need to change formula.
These things may help and the baby should grow out of it after a while

good luck!
