In clear terminology, I mean this: Is Israel really any better than a US Navy nuclear fleet? Or is this welfare state just an anchor of hell that the USA drags around? who needs a 'Democracy' in the Middle East when you can park a nuclear aircraft carrier off it's shores instead? Bring it on Israel ho's!

First of all, the State of Israel is an illegitimate state that has no right to exist and it is the U.S.'s being partial to it is what's keeping it around. And the U.S. fleet is more useful because while Israel is willing to just pick a fight with anyone it can crush in a matter of a day, it is not like the U.S. who has no fear of just attacking anyone. Basically, Israel will not just haul off and start bombing Egypt over a simple threat because it will spark a regional war (despite how powerful we believe Israel is, it does fear regional war). The United States will. Keep the fleet, bump Israel.

If you will tell me where you live I can have an Israeli answer your question. I once met an Israeli on an airplane and he was a tough SOB and I would not want to get into an argument with him. You do not seem to be aware that we do a great deal of business with Israel. Israeli engineers, in fact, invented Microsoft XP software. They also manufacture special military grade computer chips for us and much more. They need us but we need them as well. It is a very good relationship and we have a say in their international activities. During the first invasion of Iraq Saddam launched several missiles into Israel. Israel did not retaliate although they could have. We told them not to.
Their retaliation would have screwed up the alliance that Bush had put together with several Arab countries and could have affected the outcome of the war. They listened to us.

The US Navy nuclear capability is far and above any single country, not to mention our land based and air born systems. Israel is not a welfare state, before making that assertion look at their gross national product. A nuclear carrier fleet parked in the area does not give much creditability to the idea of self determination with any country.

the worst mistake any country could make is to think israel weak, and nothing but americas lapdogs. this is a country completely surrounded by people who think its their religeous duty to wipe them off the face of the earth. However for all their talk and bluster they dont have the guts to try it because they know what will happen if they do. what was it? the six day war? israel was attacked by egypt, syria, jordan, ( were there more?) and sent them running for home in six days... yea, sounds weak to me! and what good is a us navy aircraft carrier if the sorry stinkin liberals in this country dont have the guts to use it?!! frankly not much good at all..
