I mean is there a legal mess waiting around the bend?

like john mayer, cher, prince, etc....they all had bands and used thier own names..but then prince had to change his name cuz of the legal crappo...i dunno what to do!
my names kinda cool...:)

Well, it really depends on your name. You wouldn't want your band to be called something like "Gretchen" or "Walter"
(No offense to people with those names)
But I wouldn't use your nickname. I don't think people will be interested in "The Nadie" (The Nobody)

Probably not because I'm sure paperwork would need to be made up saying this is your name and this is the band name. People will probably remember you from the band name for a long time.

There's no legal mess as far as I know, but it's incredibly tacky.
