the way race cars have them, will these advertisers pay for your insurance and maybe also gas? If so, I might have mine covered with ads.

There is a company called autowraps.com which also go under the name of freecar.com. Essentially you allow them to make your car into a rolling billboard of ads and they pay you according to the amount of milage and distance that you drive every month. They fit your car with a hard-drive based GPS system and every month you swap out the drive and get a check. My neighbor gets a $400 check every month from this company.

If you walk into a store and see a T-shirt in your size with an ad on it, do you get it free and does the advertiser pay you to walk around wearing it? Same thing.

I heard that you can get money for this. They don't paint your car, it is covered with a thin plastic coating that is not permanent. This is now very commonly done on buses. I don't know the details, but I think how much you can make depends on where and how often you drive your car.
