Friends and popularity only last for a minute until you mess up like regular people, then you will be stabbed in the back and have rumors and lies spreading like brush fires.
Stay smart and unpopular and you will have true friends who stick threw good and bad times.

Depends if you value peoples opion/ social life or material things more, if you want to live in a trailer n have loads of friends who also live in trailers or have a big house and flash car and lots of gelous friends ( no garentees that you will get achieve a nice house or car or have lots of friends) stay smart cos you have the rest of your life when you leave education to build a good social life.

You CAN be smart and popular.
However, the best advice is to be yourself, first and foremost, and the people who truly like you and truly want to be your friends will naturally come to you, just as you naturally go to them.
And when you find friends that match who you are, there will be no "cool and dumb or uncool and smart" decision.
