does the power co. really charge you for you consumpsion, i think not?

even if i conserve, my bill stays the same

Check it against the usage for the same time last year.

You may use more power at times of the year to heat/cool etc. You may be entering I normally higher usage period.

The power company have the customer over a barrel. You can't just go get your power from someone else.
