As America still remains the single most powerful and influencial country in the world, we are desperatly falling. It may take long to climb the mountain, but if one is unprepaired, one will fall- fast. As we decline, China is soon stepping out place. We have truely become a decadent society and we have our own greed and shortcomings to break our fall- and our bones. I want to know, you as a people for the people for your fellow specials and the patriotism for your country... what are you honestly doing to help solve the problem of our wonderful nation? Forget about politics and even religion. What are you doing to better the species? Our roots as sentient beings dictate a drive to live, thrive, expand, explore, learn, and conquer the unknown and the oppressive all while bettering our existence and living surroundings on a universal scale, not material or petty methods. So, what do you all have to say for your self?

Make sure that Americans wake up, get informed, smell the coffee and VOTE NOT for imbecile extremists as the ones we have governing the country for the last six years! And instead of saying "God bless America" start saying "God save America" from such idiots!!! Otherwise, let's kiss our butts good by and prepare to become another banana republic within this century!

I am addresing only one point. Politics and religion are why we are both successful and failing. You can't ignore either.

Politics provides leadership and when it fails, the country fails. Fortunately it takes a long time for politics to cause failure. Much longer than the term of one or two leaders. So there's still time. (OK, one exception, we lose a war)

Religion is the foundation of morals and ethics for most of the population. While I agree with your comments about our being sentient beings, it is religon that frames our actions. As religion goes, so goes man regardless which country he lives in.

In my humble opinion, we as Americans don't have a cultural identity. We have allowed ourselves to be marketed and sold, perhaps we should embrace education, unity and a new unmaterialistic attitude of community. Of course this will not happen, so as an individual, I will try to contribute to society by trying to help those who are only thought of with contempt. I don't associate patriotism and a love for my country with the support of graft.

this is one means for us to make the world a better place to live:

we as adults can approach all that we meet with the basic respect that they are human. we can show that we know that they are like us in that all of us have shortcomings and qualities.

we can stop acting arrogant.

we can let go of our so-called "needs," which are usually just "wants." we do not need so many "things," because when we believe that we have to have items instead of peace of mind, all we do is work and take no appreciation of the wonder of life.

our need is really to pay attention to how we live. how we live, the deeds that we do, is what makes us what we are. your beauty is only what you are, not what you own. owning your own behavior, however, is quite different.

we really should pay far better attention to stopping our rampage upon nature, as though our deeds will have no negative effect, ever, on what nature supplies to each and every living thing for its sustenance. we are a part of the chain of life.

people need to feel loved. respecting each one of them for their basic humanity would go a long way toward the betterment of everything, because when you know in your heart that the other guy's food and shelter is just as important as is your own, you give him what he needs outside of the basic: you give him love.

and when you let go of unnecessary objects, instead, appreciating and loving what is here on our wonderful and beautiful planet, what is here will stretch further and will continue to sustain us and all life rather than being pillaged and turned into heaps of toxic waste and garbage.

If we don't get our thumbs out of our butts or our heads out of the sand, we are going going to get our butts kicked hard, but maybe that is what it will take to make us work together as ONE people to be a great nation again. Time to bury political correctness, do what we have to do, no more "pity me" sympathy crutches about how my ancestors were wronged by someone else's ancestors 100 or 1000 years ago, that's in the past. No more being silenced by those who scream, burn and loot, saying we are being unreasonable. Get our act together, remember what the Constitution and Bill of Rights stand for, and remember why there are hundreds of thousands of American soldiers buried around the world, not because they wanted an adventure, but because they were willing to go to any length, any sacrifice, to keep America FREE.

Whoa! Back up... America is falling behind? Behind what? And what makes you think that we have the right to force our culture down the throats of other nations?

Get out of the 12th century and keep your closed-minded self-righteousness to yourself.

Thanks for the lecture You are right. The biggest downfall to me right now is no one embraces our country when it is in need. No patriotism. There is no way to forget about politics and religion. They have played a large part in the decline. Education, will also be a good tool to improve our nation. Right now, all that the foreign countries are seeing is the nation divided over politics. It is awful.

Stand Up, Americans, support your country. UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.

Thank you for allowing me to express my feeling.
What do you have to say about that?

the U. S. is falling at the back of in each and every thing. by using fact it wastes funds on issues like pointless wars. rather of spending funds on our babies coaching. Too many digital gadgets to distract the youngsters and Pharmaceutical companies are drugging our babies for earnings.
