Parents always know best....this coming from a former "bad-boy". I wish I listened to my parents alog time ago....it would have saved me alot of headaches....I cannot think of anything my mom or dad told me that hasn't become 100% accurate.
I'm a bad-boy with a big heart though....and while I might have a problem with athourity and like to walk my own path...I'll always be there for my love and provide the best I can. So you need to determine that about your "dude".

Your dad doesn't like him because he knows what this guy is all about. Contrary to what most people thing - their parents are just looking out for them and are 9 times out of 10 right when they say they don't like a bf or gf. Do yourself a favor and take your dad's advice and find a nice guy who is worthy of you.

get a new boyfriend or put up wit ur dad and make him change his mind by showing ur dod that u really like ur boyfriend
