I'm an English teacher and right now I'm developing an intervention project in a very poor area in the surrounds of Curitiba (PR), in Brazil.
Where could I ask for materials to create an ambient room with books, games that could help them to learn English. This is part of a larger project, called "Child Project".
Thank you for taking your time to answer, I really appreciate that.

Try contacting NEA or other teacher unions in the US. Many of us teachers have many books we'd be willing to share. Also, try scholastic book company. If this could count as a tax deduction, they may have some older material to send. If you send an email to mquaint@dadeschools.net, I'd be happy to pass the message along to those teachers in the district.

Salvation Army might be a thought, or the local Rotary Club, if it's a coffee bean region you might even try contacting Starbucks, they do a lot of charity work in the areas their supply comes from.

My son's grade school has a book drive every year for a "sister" school in Africa. You could try finding a few schools in the U.S. to sponsor you.
