I do but I would say most Americans don't. This is a direct result of what is commonly called 'dehumanizing, demoralizing and demonizing' the enemy. And yes, most Americans I believe see ALL of Iraq as an enemy no matter what rhetoric you hear. It is the whole Islamic nation thing...

There is a deep sadness in the people of peaceful contentment, as those parents who have children have a deep sense of loss to see any child in the world die.
America has a record of attempting to help people everywhere to achieve their Human Rights and Freedoms. Innocent people may suffer in the attempts.
That is not always something that can be avoided, though I know from personal service for over 20 years in the service, that is true. Part of the reason I served is because more people suffer under the evil dictator's oppression than will suffer in the conflict to be free.
Everyone who is my friend and neighbor, are people from Iraq, Iran, Israel, Germany, VietNam, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Canada, and many other countries.
My neighborhood is 275 homes, and I know almost all the people, first: because we are all very open and free, and friendly, and second: because I serve them as an elected Director on our Board.
Each and everyone has expressed their sympathy for all the peoples in the 54 current wars on Earth, which have Moslem extremists on one or both sides!
Adolf Hitler made a gift of thousands of Arabic translations of Mein Kampf to the leadership of Moslem extremists, in WWII,
who had committed atrocities against Jews in the Holocaust, in the Balkan states. Look up Grand Mufti, for more info!
Bottom line, all loving peoples everywhere feel great sadness whenever innocent people are harmed by evil people who have followed the call to murder since the 7th century.

As an American and veteran I feel very sorry for all loses in Irak, but sometimes death can't be avoided, we have to live with it, especially in a war. I do want to tell you that we the Americans and English are carrying the heavy load of helping the Iraqis, so they could have a better country. Their own race and religious fanatics are trying to prevent this, even though we are trying our best.

I cant speak for all the people in the U.S.A. I can only speak for
myself. The loss of life, any life, for any reason, even natural
causes, is a waste.
Unfortunately, there are times when armed conflict is necessary.
This is one of those times. It doesn't make the loss of life any
easier to bare, however.
That is why I say and have said "No one wins a war".
MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a nice day.
Thank you very much, while you're up!!!!

Of course we do. But this is war. No one likes killing unless they are a psychopath. I never supported Iraq as a war. But I would submit a basic truth. Iraq and the entire middle east, Muslim world would be better off if they abandoned sectarian violence and eliminated extremists themselves. Some form of a Democratic government would be best. Only they won't stop killing each other long enough to think.

I dont. i think of they are ungrateful bastards. we ought to continually withdrawl from that shithole united states of america and enable them to all be slaughtered by making use of Iranians and Al Qaeda thugs.... or combat for his or her freedom... Like human beings fought and died for his or her freedoms.... and the IRAQI's freedoms!
