Yes. Try it, stand on your head against a wall and take a sip of water through a straw.

If we needed gravity to eat, the astronauts would be in some trouble.

Yes digestion will still occur. Once food enters into the esophagus peristalsis (the muscular contractions in the GI tract) moves the chewed up food along into the stomach and then into the small intestines. This peristalsis continues all of the way along the GI tract

Sphincters. Circular muscles. There's one at the top of the stomach so when you're upside down the food stays put.

Think of it like this, if digestion, or urine going into the bladder, depended on gravity then we could not exist in space. These bodily are independent of gravity due to strong muscular contractions.

the power of the two muscle layers' (longitudinal and circular that run along the entire gut) peristalsis is so strong it will force food down...or up depending on ur perspective the oesophagus even if you're on ur head...then through the stomach...small intestine etc.

Yes its called peristalsis. WHen the muscles in your throat contract to put the food in your stomach.

Yes, although I am not sure how smoothly the process would go working against gravity. I definitely wouldn't try a large meal...
